Game Review
8-27-20
Cincinnati Reds at Milwaukee Brewers
Pick: Under 6.5
While I usually try to avoid making any plays on seven-inning games, yesterday was clearly devoid of options and opportunity. There is one system I’m trying out however. In a good pitching matchup, combined with either solid bullpens or weak offenses, I’m looking to target unders that seem to be priced too high. It almost worked out as Sonny Gray threw five dominant innings of no-run ball. The Brewers pitching didn’t hold up their end of the bargain with Houser and the bullpen giving up 6 runs. We almost sneaked by with the hook until a late home run by Omar Narvaez. Although it didn’t work out this time, I’m keeping an eye on this strategy.
Final Score: 6-1 Reds
Overall:
This was one of the strangest yet most historic days for sports fans. There was only one pick today, given the vast cancellations.
