Game Review

Boston Celtics at. Milwaukee Bucks

Pick: Celtics +4.5

The Celtics were certainly the sharp play in this one. This line opened up at +5.5 and dropped all the way to +3.5 by tipoff. I was able to signal in at+4.5. My strategy was reliant on my thought that money would come in late on the Bucks. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case, and the public-backed Bucks covered all numbers up to 7. The Celtics didn’t look bad in this one, but they clearly didn’t have enough down the stretch to stop Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Final: 119-112 Celtics

San Diego Padres at Colorado Rockies

Pick: Padres ML (-106)
Under 11.5 (-110)

Well this was a roller coaster. Sometimes taking a side and a total in a game is risky business, especially if you want to watch it. The Padres were a sharp play, especially moving from a slight dog, with this line settling around PK or even shaded to San Diego.

The total seems like a smarter play, especially with the wind blowing in at about 10mph towards home plate. That could have kept the ball in the park even through the thin air at Coors field. This game could have been a double-loss or a double-win. Thankfully, the Padres had a huge ninth inning including home runs from Tatis Jr. and Tommy Pham.

Los Angeles Dodgers at. Arizona Diamondbacks

Diamondbacks ML (+115)

My love for the 2020 Diamondbacks is finally paying off. They have been consistently undervalued all year and I am more than content to pick them up in good spots, at plus money. It took a big 8th inning against former All-Star Blake Treinen to secure the win, but a win it was nonetheless. It is imperative that the Diamondbacks offense is as effective as it was this evening in order for them to finally start to get going on the season.

Final: 5-3 Diamondbacks
